Welcome to your Breathwork for Anxiety: Step by Step Guided Class

Before you begin:

  • You will want to have a private, uninterrupted space where you can lay down flat and stretch out. You can lay on a bed, couch or the floor-whatever works. Just ensure you are comfy!  Please let others in your home know you need some quiet time in the home (if possible)

  • You want to be in a receptive body posture for the breathwork portion of our time together, meaning arms and legs uncrossed and ideally nothing more than a very thin pillow under your neck - nothing that will impact your throat from being nice and open.

  • Have tissues nearby and an eye mask (if you want) to assist you to go deeper within your Breathwork Journey.

  • Have a blanket on top of you for a feeling of security and in case of any temperature changes.

  • Set up a healing space that makes you feel relaxed & serene. Light a candle, burn some incense or put grounding essential oils in your diffuser… whatever feels best for you!

  • Wear loose-fitting, flowing clothing. Nothing too tight around the waist.

  • Be sure to use the restroom before you press play!

Post Breathwork Self Care:

First of all…. CELEBRATE YOURSELF!

You showed up for yourself and you just created MASSIVE transformation in your life!

Over the next few days, be gentle with yourself. Realize that you have been through a powerful experience, unlike anything most people have ever felt! Emotions and energy have most likely moved, surfaced and released.  This may leave you feeling a bit ungrounded, or extra-sensitive tonight and possibly into tomorrow.  Not to worry! This is very normal and a healthy part of the healing process.

Make sure that you have some time and space for yourself. Take care of YOU!

  • Drink lots of water (eat if you need to… I’m always starving after Breathwork and usually crave McDonalds fries)

  • Take a hot bath with Epson salts.  If you can’t do that, try to take a shower before you crawl into bed.

  • Get into bed early and enjoy the best sleep you’ve had in a long, long time

  • Again, it’s totally normal to have emotions continue to arise, or body symptoms to linger.  Welcome and acknowledge whatever comes up for you, without trying to intellectually “figure it out”

  • Do not compare your sessions with others’ sessions. Everybody is incomparably unique, and so are you! Trust your own process.

  • Wait a while before making any major decisions (don’t invest in Bitcoin, don’t call any ex’s…. kidding!) If something is truly important for you to act on, allow yourself to reflect and settle some more, before taking action.

  • Spend time with people whom you love, and who care for you.

**Don’t forget to check off above that you completed the class! I’m going to send you the playlist, and also some suggestions of how to incorporate Breathwork into your daily life!

As always, here if you need me. LOVE YOU. MEAN IT.
